Within the space of 24 hours, starting with nothing more than 24 actors, 6 directors and 6 playwrights; 6 plays will be written, rehearsed and performed. Come and see if we can do it.
On Friday September 3rd, the above 36 people will meet for the first time at 10 pm at The Hyde Festival Theatre. 6 mini theatre companies will be formed and after a half hour meeting their playwright will toil through the rest of the night writing a 10 to 15 minute play. The following morning, September 4th, the 6 theatre companies will return at 8.30 am to collect their plays and begin rehearsals. The doors of the Festival Theatre will open to the public at 7 pm and the curtain will rise on 6 mini masterpieces (we hope).
